Anfernee Ray Black, age 28, of Vernal, passed away May 15, 2025, at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Heber City.
He was born July 27, 1996, in Roosevelt, to Tony Redfoot and Raycita Cuch Quinn.
Anfernee worked as a laborer for the Ute Indian Tribe water and sanitation department. He was passionate about video games, anime, web comics, Manga, and Dungeons & Dragons. He enjoyed going fishing with his family, adored his goddaughter, Harley and they watched many YouTube videos. He liked to watch comedies, sing Frank Sinatra songs, and get tattoos with his sister, Antonia. He came to the rescue and loved doing everything with his mother, Raycita. He also missed his father very much. He had a great sense of humor and it often came out when things became too serious.
Anfernee is survived by his sisters, Antonia Quinn (Blair House, Jr.), Towaoc, Colorado; Iona Black (Dakota Malone), Vernal; goddaughter, Harley Quinn House; great-grandmother, Ina Jane Nephi; aunties, Marion Serawop, Dolly Cuch, Tissy Cuch, RoseAnn Myore, Delana Redfoot, Joline (Richard) Powwegup; uncles, Phillip Chimburas, Adelbert Tavashutz; and his beloved son cat, Shadow Rodriguez Black.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Raycita.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m at the John Harmes Cemetery in Whiterocks, Utah. There will be a wake after 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building.
