Amanda Stubbs

Luz Amanda Estrada Gonzalez Stubbs, age 74, of Roosevelt, passed away peacefully at her home on August 7, 2026.

Amanda was born on September 3, 1951, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Antonio Estrada and Alejandra Gonzalez. She married Ritchie Stubbs, Jr. in Mexico on August 20, 2002. Ritchie preceded her in death on April 5, 2016.

Amanda was a beautiful soul with a heart full of love. She had a special way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and she loved everyone she met. Her warm personality and constant smile made her unforgettable to those who knew her. She loved being around people, making friends laugh, and bringing happiness into the lives of others.

Amanda experienced many hardships throughout her life, but she always found a way to make the best of what she had. Her strength, kindness, and ability to keep smiling through difficult times were a true reflection of the woman she was.

She was a hardworking woman who spent many years as a housekeeper, caring for numerous homes. She took great pride in her work and did everything with care. The families she worked for loved and appreciated her not only for the excellent work she provided, but also for the kindness and warmth she brought into their homes.

Amanda had a strong faith in Jehovah God and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faith was an important part of her life and brought her comfort, strength, and hope.

She found great joy in caring for her home and yard. Gardening and growing flowers were among her greatest passions, and she loved spending time outside cleaning and tending to her yard. It was not unusual to find Amanda outside making sure everything was just right. Her love for her flowers and her yard was a reflection of the care she put into everything she loved.

Above all, Amanda’s greatest joy was her family. Her grandchildren were her number one priority. She loved them fiercely and treasured the time she spent with them. Her love and devotion to her family will remain one of the greatest parts of her legacy.

Amanda is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Ray) Davis of North Dakota; grandchildren, Mia Davis, Drake Davis, and Alan Hernandez; siblings, Javier Valdez, Elijo Gonzalez, Otila Gonzalez, Lorena Quesada, Paz Valdez, and Maria Jesus Gonzalez; and numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom Amanda welcomed into her home and cared for after the loss of their parents.

She was preceded in death by her son, Saul Hernandez; her parents; and many of her siblings.

Amanda was a woman who loved deeply and gave freely. She left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her through her kindness, her smile, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely.

Although her passing has left an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, her memory will live on in the people she touched, the family she cherished, the friendships she built, and the countless small moments that made her who she was.

Her flowers will bloom, her home will be remembered, her smile will never be forgotten, and the love she gave will continue through the people she left behind.

Amanda was deeply loved. She will be deeply missed. And she will never be forgotten.
