Dan Andrew Kofford, age 88, of Talmage, passed away July 22, 2017, at his home where he was surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 15, 1929, in Talmage, to Lars and Jennie Redford Kofford.
Dan served in the US Navy, and while on leave in Boston, Massachusetts, he meet the love of his life, Florence McCormick. After three long days of thought, they married on February 28, 1950, and began their long and amazing life together. They returned to Utah and started their family.
Dan worked in the coal mines in Price for several years, and later discovered his true passion and became a salesman selling Kirby vacuums and cookware. He was very talented as a salesman and made a living doing so. There was nothing in his life that was more important to him than his family. Each child was important in their own special way to him. The love he and his wife, Flo, had for each other will never be broken.
Dan is survived by his wife of 67 years, Florence; children, Pat (Chipper) Fenn, Danny (Colleen) Kofford, Mike (Kriss) Kofford, Richard (Christa) Kofford; a sister, Lena, Price; twenty-one grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teri Goodrich; son, Andrew Kofford; brother, Robert; and sisters, Ruby & Doris; grandchildren, Matthew Kofford, Jesse J Helms, and Brandy Kofford.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 12:00 noon at the Talmage Cemetery. A visitation for family & friends will be held in his honor from 10-11:45 a.m. at the Moon Lake LDS Chapel.
Military honors will be presented by the Altamont American Legion, the Navy Funeral Honor Guard, the Patriot Guard Riders.
