Carwin Chad Reed, Sr., age 45, of Cedar Hills, formerly of Ft. Duchesne, passed away August 18, 2018, at an assisted living center.
He was born December 22, 1972, in Salt Lake City to Melvin and Barbara Ann Thompson Reed.
Chad worked for a few years as a cook at the Ute Petroleum Convenience Store. He achieved his GED in Salt Lake City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding ATVs, and being in the outdoors. He was fond of animals, especially dogs and really liked to travel.
Chad is survived by his children, Kaylee Reed, Minot, North Dakota; Carwin Chad Reed, Jr. (Jeniffer Ontiveros), Springville; step-children, Damon Garfield, Richardson Subdivision; Allison Pargeets, Roosevelt; granddaughter, Ayaina Reed-Ontiveros, stepgrandchildren, Anarae& Traelee Garfield, Joellyn Cornpeach; brothers, Gene (Retta) Reed, Kamas; Jack (Patty) Reed, Myton; Tim (Julie Elder) Reed, West Valley City; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Barbara; and a sister, Shelly Reed.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery. A wake will be held on Tuesday after 4:00 p.m. at the Myton Community Building.
