Garrett Schroedter

Garrett Richard Schroedter, age 29, of Midvale, died October 24, 2016, from injuries sustained in a fall while hiking in the Sundial Peak Area in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
He was born May 26, 1987, in Houston, Texas, to Rick and Michele Schroedter. Because of his father's employment, the family lived in Texas, Indiana and Singapore. He graduated from the Singapore American High School in 2005.
He had a passion for skateboarding and snow boarding, and worked at one of his favorite places, the Snowbird Ski Resort. He enjoyed being in the mountains, hiking, and being with his friends.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and is now in the arms of his Savior.
Above anything else, Garrett loved his daughter Millie Kyla. She was his world and the light of his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Millie Kyla Schroedter, Bluffdale; his parents, Michele & Rick Schroedter, Katy, Texas; brothers and sisters, Shelby (Joshua) Loud, London; Marissa (Chase) Anderson, Taylor (Taryn) Schroedter, Grant Schroedter, all of Provo; Caleb Schroedter, Katy, TX; grandparents, Larry & Connie Ross, Roosevelt; mother of Millie, Kristine Brown and her two children, Brodie & Elsie; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard & Neva Schroedter.
Funeral services held October 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at the Roosevelt 2nd Ward LDS Chapel.
Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
