Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Glenn Bennett Johnson, of Cedarview, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 in Provo, at the age of 86.
He was born August 28, 1930 in Montwell, to Verl Rulon and Eva Fontella Bennett Johnson.
Glenn married Montana Summers, May 1, 1949, in Anaconda, Montana; marriage later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away February 17, 2001. He married and was sealed to Laverne Bleak Nazer, October 12, 2001 in the Vernal Utah LDS Temple.
Glenn was a skilled mechanic, capable of making or fixing anything. He enriched the lives of all he came in contact. As an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints he served in many leadership positions.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne, Cedarview; children, Glenna Alama, Taylorsville; Jo Schmitt, Midvale, Julene Olsen, Roosevelt, and their spouses; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; a brother, Cecil (Marie) Johnson, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Montana; two brothers and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Neola LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Friday at the Hullinger Mortuary from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park
